How to Achieve that Black Metal Sound!

Greetings everyone! Ive finally discovered how to get that pure, Lo-Fi, Analogue Black Metal Sound and Wanted to share it with everyone!

at the beginning i was thinking "hey, that sounds pretty good, why would anyone want to change it?" but i realised it was a joke as soon as the kvlt guitar sound kicked in haha. nice video man!

Tone is too complex to boil down to a handful of amp settings. Personally I don't usually like a treble-heavy sound. I might use more gain for a BM recording than I would for progressive DM stuff, but it would really depend on the music, the drum sound, and what I was trying to do with the recording.
