How to mic up a guitar cab intro vid

Haha, I'd be careful putting this up, as I remember the last time it was posted it sparked off a slagging war.

wow...that old thread is a damned trainwreck

anyways, i saw this vid awhile back, and while i think it would be helpful for some newbs, i don't think there's much in there that people who have done much recording and snooping around this forum can take from it

I thought it was quite useful, and hearing the differences in sound just a minor repositioning produced i found to be real interesting

exactly, I don't care if this video keeps popping up cause we get noobs in all the time and personally i think it needs to be seen.

This video is sweet. Thanks Colin, you rock! Anyways, don't pay attention to all the bashing on the other thread; give the guy a freakin break. He made the video to help people, who cares if it's not perfect.

I think its all in the title. Its titled mic positioning or how to record kick ass comercial hm tone?... The positioning thing could be only for noobs... but honestly it should be titled " basic mic positioning" and it should be without a long intro

beside that the video is awesome
