As far as guitars goes, Vito and I used our baritone guitars. Mainly I used my Fender Subsonic Baritone, and Vito used his ESP/LTD baritone (FB200, I think?) We tune them down to drop B-flat. Most of the clean electric guitar was recorded with an Ibanez baritone model, because it produced some really great clean tones. All of the acoustic guitars were recorded using either a Taylor or an Avante Baritone acoustic.
Amp-wise, Vito and I both used a Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier head. We used no pedals, all of the distortion was coming from the amp itself, and any other effects used were added afterwards by the engineer, or in mixing. We also messed around with my Carvin 100 watt head and my Line 6 Flextone head for certain sounds here and there. Some of the clean guitar stuff was also recorded with an old 1960s Silvertone amp, to get a more retro clean sound.
Cabinet-wise, we used a mix of Mesa Boogie cabinets and Marshall cabinets, all loaded with celestions.
Hope this answers your question basically, thanks!
