hahaha no dude this bands actually at 320 i thought they were just fucking with me, its probably the fastest shit i have heard in awhile, there drummer is fast as fuck, there signed to a Russian label thats about all i know,
but there fast as hell.
You're miscalculating something. Even the fastest drummers in the world think anything over 250 is dumb and damn near impossible. It's been done, but not 320. Set your metronome to 16th notes and jack it up to just 300. I bet he can't hit the drum for every time that click goes off.
What would you call the tempo of the drumming in the video above then? Our drummer is very very quick, but we're only at 145 bpm. Does everyone see how this tempo thing confuses the peasants.
how am i going to record my own click?
sorry if thats a dumb Q i just have no idea lol.
that would work out fine tho.
Simply not true, the top tier of "speed" drummers can hit 270/280 for short amounts of time cleanly. And play at around 250, it's not that many people but it's not "considered dumb" (well not if used appropriately anyway)
But unless the dude is a really, really good drummer then I highly doubt he could play much over 200 comfortably.
I'm saying it's impossible, much less am I saying it's impossible for short bursts. I'm sticking with my statement that it's dumb though. I love fast shit, but sometimes you gotta know that if they're moving THAT fast it has NOTHING to do with the song or an artistic expression, or even MUSIC... Most people playing at those tempos are doing it just to impress others or be EXTREME, and I have zero respect for that. First and foremost, I am a musician (an artist). Pisses me off when people corrupt would-be art for the sole purpose of personal gain (financial OR egotistic).
13.33 BPM with 64th note triplets is clearly the answer here.

You're assuming they are doing it solely to impress, this to be perfectly honest, is ridiculous. "Most" (I can only think of two or three) of these bands are not playing in a genre of music where there is any significant financial reward to seek anyway. And to attempt to elevate yourself above those bands is just sycophantic, and I highly doubt you will ever reach the "artistic" quality of bands that I am thinking of, of course this is all subjective though.....![]()
I didn't say anything that suggested that I am familiar with you as a musician, hence why I said "I doubt".
And why I made the point that you have also raised, that it is all down to the listener.
I was annoyed that your post seemed to condemn anyone that plays above a certain speed, as being artistically corrupt.
We clearly disagree, but you should know that I did not mean the post to come off as aggressive, which it obviously did.
