I heard As I Lay Dying said something about Metal Blade or Metal Blade bands
cause when I seen Cattle Decapatation he dedicated a song to all the crappy metalcore bands especially As I Lay Dying tehn I read probably on some message board that As I Lay Dyine said something
*shrugs*
I like me some metalcore
but I think maybe someone asked them about cannibal corpse and some of the anti religion bands on Metal Blade because their christian, and some people got mad at their answer mayber
I dont know but that was completely inrelevant

I would rather be put into a pit of rattlesnakes with no way to escape, be sexually attacked by a dozen hugely obese women, be forced to eat meat and drink alcohol, forced to listen to polka music nonstop

Than to go to any of those shitty metalcore shows. :Smug: :err:

Well I know they said Death Metal is a dying scene, havent had a one on one conversion between them about that yet, but they seem to not be elite when it comes to there lifestyle, same with Remembering Never. I just listen to a wide diversity of everything, and hang out with whoever, if I sense negativity I get away from those lozers, and make sure they know what they are and to the people around them.

i am so fucking sick of everything having it's own "core". what the fuck is metalcore anyway? i mean you talk about faggy ass shit. shitcore? is that what we should call gay bands like as i lay dying? what about that one fuckhead act, black dahlia murder? metal blade is unfortunately, singing some real shit fucking acts.

its all kinda reminiscent of when earache went to the shitter in the mid and late 90's, signing rap/metal acts. what the fuck was that about anyway? anything to make a fucking dollar i guess. hey, speaking of earache, i have on hi-8, along with vehemence's first n. american tour (1st show of it, too) decapitated's first n. american appearence as well. that was a total brain fart, just popped in there, anyway..

cores are fucking gay, period. bands who play "metalcore" suck shit.

Atreyu, As I Lay Dying, Bleeding Through, Throwdown, Terror, Before Today, Underminded & more...

p.s.
all of these bands = gay

one band who is realllly fucking gay though - 18 visions.. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-CHOOO-GAY!

Black Dahlia Murder are fucking awesome and certainly not metalcore
and I would love to see them tour with Vehemence, they put on a hell of a show
and there are alot of good "core" bands out their but there are also a shit load or crap
like Invocation of Nehek, From A Second Story Window, Through the Eyes of the Dead, Glass Casket and Between the Buried and me(even though I dont consider these bands metalcore, alot of people do) those bands are really good
you just gotta find the ones with more death metal influence

they're just on the edge of being considered metal even though nothing about them is original. "Unhallowed" isn't bad however...haven't listened to it in a year. It's all the other bands that just piss me off...I know they aren't gonna be playing that style or be existing in a few years because the "metalcore" sound is nothing more than a trend.
But I don't care...there's tons of other music I love, I listen to whatever pleases my ears.

I read a Black Dahlia interview where they said they don't like being labeled as metalcore. Black Dahlia has no breakdowns, blast beats, and lots of death riffs. The only reason I think people label them metalcore is because of their image, and the bands they tour with. I would say they have more in common musicallly with bands like Arsis, At The Gates, Malevolent Creation, then say Killswitch Engage, As I Lay Dying, etc..

well John whatever youre happy with..i know playing with those trendy bands will give Vehemence some much needed exposure...i just hope the metalcore meatheads dont think you guys are metalcore :p
but yeah, i tend to agree with some of the other posters....
me and my friend at work now call metalcore the "I HAVE PROBLEMS!!!" metal...

They do play fests like Hell Fest/Furnace Fest that feature tons of metalcore/hardcore acts like Shai Hulud/Throwdown/Burnt By the Sun/With Honor/Norma Jean/Unearth/Bleeding Through/Most Precious Blood/Full Blown Chaos/Coheed And Cambria, The Hope, The Promise Trustkill and Ferret bands ect ..

So I can see what could lead to the confusion but yeah TBDM is playing the European Metal stuff, and they are one of the few exceptions to what is seen at those fests, they are the heaviest band at those fests. I wouldnt mind touring with any of those bands, due to exposure, which is what got TBDM huge in the first place. Been talking to alot of them already, The Red Death gave us some props on the Metal Blade website, on their just got signed comment.

cant stand metalk core vox. its beond anoying.dont mind the music. and I lsemi like T.B.D.M., but wouldnt goe see them or buy there cds., yea metalcore is gay .a.k.a poser core

I saw Black Dahlia Murder in Essen, Germany on the X-Mass Festival tour on Dec 6. They played with Marduk, Napalm Death, Vader, Finntroll, and Belphegor. They shared a bus with Finntroll and the guys in Finntroll said they got along great and were a great bunch of guys.

Image wise they might be metalcore, but musically they sounded great among all the other bands on that show. I thought they fit in fine and got a great response from the german fans. And there were none of those karate kid wannabes in the crowd.

Yeah They are on an all metal tour, they arent doing Pressure Fest or anything. I am sure they are bound to go on tour with Cataract, Heaven Shall Burn, or Born From Pain. I talked to the touring agency in Germany this morning on the phone, this European tour thing we got going (April22 through May 22, 2005) is the real deal, just gotta wait up for the contracts.

Yeah Coheed, slipped in there, they remind me of the bill joel of emo core.
