I have a little question.
How do i record a heavy sound with a triamp.
What are the settings on the amp, position of the mics etc.

Uh... good luck...

A little while ago I started a thread on this amp and the opinions were mostly negative as long as you want good heavy sounds out of it.

SM57, on axis, scoop a little the mids (but don't take them away completely!!!) And NO compression.

I used to have a Triamp MKI a while back, and I thought it sounded great. I don't remember any settings from it, but it was a nice amp. Heavy in that Recto sense, but I liked my 2 Channel Dual Recto a lot better. Just mic it up just like you would a Dual Recto.
