Hypocrisy... good album to start?

hello. I'm new here. My name is bumblefoot, but not really it is just what i chose as my name here hehehehe. anyway what is the best hypocrisy album? I have the S/T one and wasn't all that impressed... i was under the impression they were melodic death before i bought it and they weren't really. anyway for any fans out there could you tell me which is good to have? And also if you could reccomend a song or two as well... Thank you!

Slipping Away is THE best Hypocrisy song!

I haven't got the new one, but I'm gonna see them live with Immortal in about a month so I'm gonna get it soon!

Get 'Destroys Waken'. Unlike alot of live albums, this one has amazing sound. You'll get a good cross-section of all the albums. If possible, get the video/DVD. The performance is killer (and plus the bassist does head-twirls for the entire gig )

Oh, and many of the songs on the live album sound better than on the proper albums, too.

Penetralia. Or something about penetration. I think following the natural progression of a band really helps appreciate everything more.

I agree with Misanthrope - Penetralia is by far their best. Their progression from that point was in the direction of blandness, slightly redeemed by Into the Abyss - a good album.
