What album to get next?

There is no bad Opeth Album, so if you get into their music, you should definitely get them all and the DVD.......for me it is especially Still Life (my first Opeth album) and Blackwater Park....

Blackwater Park is the easiest album to begin Opeth listening with.

What the hell, does that sentence above even make sense at all?
Tell the people I love, that I tried:erk:

Maybe MAYH is a good album for an Opeth newbie too.
The first two albums are great, but the spoiled modern kids probably cannot stand their raw production. Avoid those albums for a while, but after all and at the end of the day, that's just my piece of advice:erk:You have to find your own way to go on with your life.
Take care.

Dost thou wish to extol thine own most humble opinion upon the request and most fastidious wish of thine most grateful and obedient n00b upon which I shalt reply to that which shalt not be mistooken imo

in other words, that is your own opinion:) :) :)

not really... opeth play songs from mayh, sl, bwp, deli, damn, and gr. (maybe tnatsw from morning)

True but I heard more from deliverance in general. Maybe damnation too, I forgot it, because it's a little bit different from usual Opeth songs.

Aloha
I just can't imagine having one Opeth album and not wanting it all???!!! My favouites are Still life, MAYH, Blackwater Park, but I couldn't do without the other albums! o_O It's all overwhelming and addictive, so take an opethdose! Though, when you're not really used to Mikael's brilliant voice, I would recommand you to start off with some Bloobath-material; "easy listening", so to speak. I dig it!!!

Your profile picture - is that a real tattoo . . . and is it yours?

I was thinking about getting one like it except on my ankle.

:D Joow! No it's a scarification, they cut it into my chest with a scalpel, it's still bloody on the picture, had it done in march. I added some personal "shit" in the drawing of the logo and I had to simplify it, for the lines are not visible otherwise.
All the lines are cut 3 times, the wider parts more times, and the really big parts had to be cut out (I still have the flesh). Took 2,5 hours and it's more painfull than a tattoo, but I prefer having done this, just have to set your mind to it! I'm not a sucker for pain, but it makes the personal meaning of my scar much deeper for me, with every inch the scalpel slid into my flesh, muwhahaha!!! No just kiddin'.
Good luck with whatever you may decide to get on your ankle;) !
