The first one I listened to was ORCHID. A work of genious.
"In The Mist She Was Standing" is a freakin' masterpiece! That haunting quality that attracted me to Opeth in the first place was there in full force! The growling vocals were excellent. The singing wasn't as good as, say, BLACKWATER PARK, but that's O.K. It didn't ruin the listening experience!
The second one I listened to was STILL LIFE. Great CD.
This one didn't hit me as hard as ORCHID, but it was still terrific. ORCHID hit me kind of like BLACKWATER PARK did...mabye even more so! ORCHID just may end up being my favourite Opeth CD.
Of course, I can't jump the gun...I still have two more CD's to get (yippee!!!)!
