I cant add Mellotron Heart to Itunes

Threak and Rorix: you are both pretty unbelievable. Why don't you go somewhere else to complain about how inconvenient it is to pirate music?

Would someone explain the arguments about why it's not up to them to decide how Opeth's music is distributed and that it's not for them to go ahead and steal it if they don't like the way things work? I just don't have it in me right now.

I should have only quoted this part really.

Whatever, I don't know why I bother posting here anymore. People are just so irrational and fanboyish, it's really starting to get to me..

In regards to the way the thread has gone argument wise, I really couldn't give a flying fuck. I downloaded the album then bought the special edition and the vinyl. I then downloaded Mellotron Heart and I'm also trying to buy it on ebay.

I used to be completely anti-iPod and iTunes, but when I actually used them both I found that there's really nothing wrong with them. iPod Nano and iPod Touch are utter wank, but iPod classic's are pretty good, and I don't see anything particularly wrong with iTunes... if someone would care to explain I'd be interested.

From what I can tell, people generally bitch about iTunes' lack of FLAC playback, as well as the sloppy video system. Both of these would be fair arguments, but I'm not interested in having videos on my iPod, and FLAC can be converted to something smaller that saves space anyways.

Yeh... if I want to watch video on the train or whatever I'll bring my laptop. Watching videos on a tiny iPod screen holds no interest for me.

I thought most media players didn't play FLAC? Personally I use iTunes and Quicktime for most things, but if they won't play something then VLC will. VLC is free but I find it a bit fiddly to use (not good for skipping around a track/video). I thought FLAC was just meant for burning stuff to CD anyway?

Samara, I bought the special edition of the album, but that doesn't mean I have to agree with the way that it's been distributed. Imagine my surprise when I found out that in no matter what happened I would have to break a law in order to listen to the bonus tracks on my mp3 player. It's simply pathetic to think that Roadrunner still has not accepted the fact that this is how the majority of people listen to music. They bitch because the album got leaked, yet they're not looking at alternate ways of getting the music out there (like NIN and Radiohead have been doing).

I'm not saying that stealing is right, nor am I encouraging it, but at the same time I can't help but feel a little pissed off that people have been getting banned left right and center simply because they wanted to share interesting and rare music that they loved.

Kenneth, your diction is telling enough of your own level of maturity, but just to humor you I will say that I do agree with you for the most part. People lack a certain level of patience in our society, and this, I think, is the problem with North America. I'm very careful about the role I play as a consumer.

Your bitching here is pointless. This is the official Opeth forums, and it's just disrespectful to the band to be posting links to download their material. What you download is your business, nobody gives a shit until you start whining about people 'getting banned left right and center simply because they wanted to share interesting and rare music that they loved'.

They're not getting banned for that, they're getting banned for posting links or talking about leaks that shouldn't be on this forum. Find another website for that sort of shit.
