I heard from a lot of people that the CD is so loud you hear a lot of distortion, hissing, buzzing, cracking, and Lar$ moaning; even if you have the volume turned way down.

Think I'll wait it out.

It's true, while the overall production is fine, the mixing/mastering job is atrocious. It's the most blatant example yet of the "loudness war" going on in the music industry...mastered so loud you actually get a muddled mess with a static-like distortion (also known as clipping). Fortunately, the Guitar Hero III version of the album sounds MUCH better, and someone was able to capture it and many torrent sites now have it...just search for v.GHIII by D34DL1N3R
