i got drunk last night drinking jaegermeister by myself in my apartment. well at least i am not hungover.
i compeltely had forgotten till i got on the train this morning

no i just was bored out of my skull and byron suggested i get drunk so i grabbed the iron maiden shot glass and downed three shots of jaeger and fell asleep.

the last time i drank out of that shot glass i puked Wing-It all over my bathroom. we did a "power hour" with mixed drinks (well, in my case, a power 50 minutes).
i was feeling fine. i spaced out my shots well enough and was wise enough to know when to stop drinking. i think it helped me pass out easier for sleep which was good.

it is ok. i mean it tastes like medicine really. its very dark red almost black. i am not sure what alcohol is in it but whatever it is in it is certainly potent.

i'd say it has a taste similar to sambuca but more medicine-like. its not really sweet but very smooth in my opinion.
i think i prefer sambuca though.

before this i did down a few shots of it in new orleans during my wild last night but i couldn't remember liking it or not because by that point i was wasted.

it tastes like cheap, frat-boy sambuca, but as Greg said, much more thicker and medicinal.
simply put, mindspell, the only reason to try it is so you no longer have to say "I've never had Jaegermeister" and have to deal with Greggish types who actually like it pushing it on you to "try it! just once!"

i am not pushy with alcohol. i offer it to people but if they don't want it then fine. i always hate it when people do that shit to me. man i got a few weird looks when i went to the bar over the weekend and said i was the designated driver.

I might buy a small bottle to try it. I am not normally a fan of licorice so I won't be buying a 40 ounces bottle that's for sure. I do not dislike Sambuca from time to time but not to get drunk (I have friends into that).
There is this ritual for people guys in our group of friends consisting of downing a four ounces shot glass full of whatever. THe first time they pour it to me it was with Sambuca, and it came out as fast as it came in. After a while I did it with something more digestible to me, whisky, and everything was fine. I am not a fan of sweet liquors either...

i think iot won't be as harsh to you as sambuca but i still think it is an aquired taste. one other thing to consider is that sambuca is not meant to be something you get drunk off of. it is by nature something something to have after dinner or something like that. jaegermeister is more of a get drunk type of liquor.
