Ok for a start I will link the guitar.

Now I have some questions about it:

1st- I've heard that some Floyd Rose are made in Korea and some in Germany. Can you tell me about this one? Says the guitar is made in Korea, but not sure about the Floyd Rose.

2nd- Now I don't understand much of pickups and I would like to know what's the whole deal with Blackout Active (doesn't even say which model those are)? Are they any good? I know that active run with batteries (which I assume is not quite good) and have some pre amp effect. Changing pickups is not a problem for me, if those ones are not good enough I can buy HZ H-4 or at least something like that. And also is it bad for this particular guitar, if I change the original pickups (I hope not)? Any audio/video comparison/or just sound test test links are welcome!

3rd- Is it a good deal overall? Now I know that some might say "dude go try the guitar" but I visited every single guitar shop in the country and they don't have it :( . Sad I know.

Thanks for spending some time to read this :) I turned to this forum cause you guys have played those type of guitars and have real experience, so I thought you can tell me what's good or not.

1. The Floyd Rose is made in germany

2. I had both in my guitar, HZ and Blackout and both were great!

3. Check out my Youtube channel. I have the LTD since 2 years or so and I'm pretty satisfied with it. But I have other electronics installed - a J-50BC + Je-1000

Thanks man, I'm a fan of your videos! I was hoping that I would get a reply from you, cause I see that you post about that stuff A LOT on this forum :D ! I'll probably buy it, but one thing that bothers me is the battery`s life. I have no clue how long they will last (also what kinda batteries it works with and how many of them etc...). And will the pickups lose the pre-amp effect when the battery dies or they stop working at all? That's the one thing I'm not sure about. Thanks again!

The batteries should last a while if you keep the guitar unplugged when not in use. With active PU's there is a ring on the output jack that basically turns on once you plug in.

Also, when the battery dies the sound will go away, but as it looses juice you will be able to hear the difference. I replace my batteries every 6 months.

Sweet :) Thanks a lot for that. 6 months sounds good to me, so I guess I'm cool with that. Is there a major difference between the sound of active and passive pickups?

Isn't an Alexi-600 itself like $1200? A black and yellow one would cost probably a lot more. 679 euros is about 920 USD. Also, why doesn't this have the COBHC logo on the back? It seems like this would just be an alexi-600 with a custom finish. Where would you buy this?

It's British pounds not euros :) therefore - $1020 or something like that

this one has the original floyd though....i dont kno wat u still thinking bout..great guitar....and i wouldnt change the pickup) i love blackouts...and dont worry
there is one 9V battery but there is special box for it in the back so u dont have to worry it wont be any trouble to change the battery

Thank you very much for the info :D But now that this other guy mentioned, isn't the guitar supposed to have a COBHC logo on the back? Or that's just Edward's? Also what I've noticed is that on this picture the stripes are a little bit yellow/greenish compared to that one. Is it supposed to be this way? Also the floyd rose is not painted black (not a big deal for me, but still is that normal?).

I think it's only about lightning in those pics.
Could be true, but then again I found that the floyd rose was made in Korea and it's not a German one so I got a bit upset :/ maybe if I can find a dealer from the US that can ship it over here...

Which page say that its an Korean Floyd Rose? All german dealers say it comes with an OFR and I have the made in germany stomp on my backside

I sent a mail to the guy that sells the guitars, and he told me that the Floyd Rose was made in Korea. Do you have some German site that sells guitars and stuff? It's not necessary to ship over Europe I can come pick the guitar up, it's just a plus if they can ship it.

...maybe the US models come with Korean floyds... but that wouldn't explain the high price difference. but everything is much more expensive here than in US. but our GDP is much higher than in US too :D

Exactly, they just make the numbers equal, but when it comes to buying then you can see how much more expensive it is in EU than the US, but hey... that's our shitty standard. From here on I'll look on the US stores and ask where the floyd rose is made at (hoping that they will tell me the truth :D ).

thats a great deal you know. those active blackouts are the best alexi laiho used ever, in my opinion. besides the guitar is fucking beautiful and kicks ass and not expensive at all and its in new condition. buy it!
