Guess im just an 81 man :), i can swap the parker pickups, they will fit in the models based off of the nitefly, but not in any flys themselves. I can do that myself, but to be honest, the parker stinger pickups sound so badass that im going to leave them there.

I've always been curious about this...what difference does wiring two 9 volt batteries in Parallel to get the 18 volt effect make?

Welcome to a world of better tone!!

I just got an Afterburner to replace my tone pot, I'm sending my guitar to the tech next week to get it fitted (and the guitar wired to 18v).

Apparently, UniversalGenesisShock, this guy does, and so do many others I've read about. The EMG website even mentions it as being a popular mod, but they imply that it'd only be useful in increasing the headroom for slap bassists so those big bursts of signal wouldn't distort as easily. Maybe it allows for a nicer clean tone on a guitar (but wouldn't that detract from the distortion?) Any insight, Razorjack or anyone else, would be appreciated.

My guitar still hasn't come back from the tech yet, but many people have their EMG's wired at 18v and I decided to give it a try after a very reliable source reccomended it to me.

I'll let you know how it sounds when I get the guitar back.
