I get 5 hours between shifts and I think it's BS.

I work overnights, in fact I am just getting down to the last hours of one right now. I started at 9pm yesterday and I will be done at 9am today. I have to be back to work at 3 and I hate it. No this is not a normal thing. Looking forward to the 5 hours of sleep I get in between.

Not sure about NY... but in Cali... (i think its nationwide) unless there is 8 hours inbetween shifts, your pay rate continues as though you havent stopped... ie, time and half and double time...

they should pay you accordingly... legally anyway...
