I suck at sleeping and waking up, anyone else?

I'm the opposite it seems of everyone here. I suck at falling asleep, and staying asleep.

For examples last night I couldn't fall asleep till 4am and woke up at 9am. I feel find oddly enough, but I'm supposed to stay awake till 9am (probably not gonna happen without a snooze at sometime tomorrow morning before 9am).

The night before? Slept from 10pm-3am, then fell back asleep from 7am-11am. I have prescription sleep aid but don't like taking it, especially if I wake up at 3am because that means sleep for another 8 hours min and I hate sleeping for any longer than 10 hours.

Like I said, retarded work schedule = retarded sleep schedule.

Pretty much any drug (nicotine, prescriptions, caffeine, alcohol, etc.) can mess with your sleep. Other guys here are right, that by sleeping in super late every day and slamming caffeine you are perpetuating the problem. You should get up at the same time everyday regardless of how tired you are and get on a schedule. If you exercise do it earlier in the day.

the sonic bomb looks excellant, i know i would end up breaking the rest of them instead of solving puzzles and stuff, i was thinking of some kind of electric shock wrist watch a while back but apparently there would be prolems with safety and sweat, but sonic bomb looks right up my street

I sense a pattern with audio engineers and sleep.

I suck at sleep. I only get about 6 hours a night during the week, and make it up on the weekends. My caffeine intake isn't high, I sleep much better on a full stomach. But I don't eat that much. What really helps me drift off is a few beers, and hot dogs. But sometimes falling asleep at ten just makes me feel like a bitch. Which is probably what a lot of people feel like.

I have also a problem to sleep.

Just in the moment I'm about to fall asleep, my body reacts and my heart starts pounding and I feel like I can't breath. It is some kind of defense of my body that considers sleeping a threat or something.

Finally after some of these frights I get asleep and then no problem at all for the rest of the nihgt. But sometimes it takes me hours to get asleep.

It is a ver distressing situation. My doctor says it is due my anxiety.
