Here's my obligatory kiss ass review -

Got the "MUSIC OF MASS DESTRUCTION" DVD/CD yesterday. It's no "KISS ALIVE IV" but it's good. Little sarcasm for you.

AUDIO - Awesome, great mix. I can't think of the last time I heard a live record mixed this good. The crowd is loud as hell. Chicago rules! They actually had to turn the crowd down in the mix for being too loud.

VIDEO - Really cool. Not just boring straight ahead concert footage. Tons of cuts/edits and effects. I couldn't get the HYPERANGLE to work on my DVD player but then again I'm retarded so I'm sure it works I just dunno how. Save that for another post

BEHIND THE SCENES - Rules! The Alex Ross segment is worth the price of the DVD alone. Charlie's toy factory visit is great, you get to see John's bar "The Burning Bush" and Scott has some choice commentary as always. "Fun with Rob" shows the true Rob Caggiano. Look for cameos by me (you get to see my left ass cheek, for real), Tim "FUCKING" Dralle, Charlie's wife Sandra, John's wife Tori and some Joey Vera dude.

ARTWORK - Came off OK. The manufacturer printed it way too dark but oh well too late now. I should have stayed up their ass more about that. I think you'll like the layout. If you're a collector I'd say you'll like the regular DVD box art better than the CD format case. BUT you'll have to get both as the CD case has liner notes by Charlie and the DVD case has liner notes by Scott.

Pick it up, very entertaining and with the CD/DVD it's a great value. Ehhh I sound like WalMart. But serioiusly it's not just some cash cow record company needs money cheap ass home video crap. It was an insane show and the DVD does it justice. Now to start working on METALLUM MAXIMUM AETERNUM.

Roughly how long does the behind the scenes part of the dvd run for??

Cheers

That's worth the price of the whole dang thing!:tickled:

I got my pennies saved and will be snatching that bad boy up Tuesday. Just another thing for Mr. Ross to sign at Wizard World Chicago. Everybody will have their Mythology books, and then there will be me with WCFYA and MMD.

The behind the scenes is maybe a half an hour approx? It's quality. KILL BILL's plot is DOA. It's a visually superb film but that's no excuse for making a film that's more intellectually brain dead than an episode of the A-Team.

Europe's not cancelled. Why are you asking?

The A-Team brain dead? What u talking about Fool!

Actually does anyone know if an official Australian release/distributor for the DVD is available or will I have to import it like the WCFYA album?

Unfortunately Frank Bello does not have a segment due to time constraints. He was working on one but because of obvious reasons it was never finished. Frank is aware of this and knows that this was in no way something that was done on purpose, we just ran out of time (you will also notice the Rob's portion was put together by Scott as he was in England and we had a schedule to keep) He is still prominently featured throughout the DVD though and his presence on the concert portion of the DVD is as energetic as it always is live.

Don't forget MUSIC OF MASS DESTRUCTION IN STORES TUESDAY APRIL 20!

Looks like I'll need to hit Best Buy after work today.

still no info anywhere on the UK release date.

there should be better info on the packaging and what you get on each different version. surely that info can go up on the main site: e-card tells me fuck all.
why can't they give clearer info to us loyal fans??? (i remember exactly the same thing when WCFYA came out. no one knew what the different version were...)

i would much rather this than irrelevant pictures of scott posing in a sushi bar.

rant over.
