I hated, hated Crash

When anyone says Crash, I think of the movie Jurched's talking about. So this was not a remake?

Yeah, I thought there were copyright rules about using names for products and titles for movies? I guess not.

I'm gonna make a movie called "FAHRENHEIT 9/11."

It's all about overweight gay documentarites who get a climax from infecting themselves with bubonic plague while being clowns at children's parties on Saturday afternoons.

I think I got meself a blockbuster. :loco:

you guys should know by now know that the academy awards arent shit. theyre just liberal jew social politics with the agenda of shoving mansex and racism down our throats, then tell us how great it was, and try to convince us to watch because they gave it an award. now im not racist.. but that movie was boring and annoying. if you want to watch a good movie watch Evilenko with Malcolm McDowell or A History Of Violence with Viggo Mortensen or however the fuck its spelled.

The only reason dogshit-skidded-on-a-filmstrip like CRASH wins awards is because no good movies were made this year. Just like in 2000, when AMERICAN BEAUTY swept up all the awards.

And for what!? It was SHIT! Total Shit!

There were 65 movies in 1999 that were totally better than American Beauty and probably 95 movies in 2001 that could've gotten golden figurines. But, they were made in the wrong year. Thus, great movies with great acting get kicked to the curb, while SHIT like American Beauty and Crash will appear on Blockbuster's Oscar-winners shelf each February from now on!

How come the ISLAND didn't win an award for least amount of advertising for films costing more than $100,000,000?

finally...someone else that hates that gay ass movie too. i kept getting it confused with "american psycho" cause of the title and never saw that till years later...PATRICK BATEMAN IS THE MAN. there needs to be more murders while talking about phil collins and huey lewis and the news.

So, if Crash shouldn't have won... what should have?

I thought the film was pretty well made myself.

Well, out of the five films nominated, I'd go with Capote.

But probably the best american film of last year was A History of Violence

It was the best for what it was up against...
Too bad that Cinderella Man, Narnia or Walk The Line weren't considered all of which were better than every movie nominated.....But the criminal liberal media had a hard on for gay cowboys and that was the only movie you heard about until it was over. I'm just glad that brokeback fags didn't win!!

I completley spaced that on the post I just made (History Of Violence)...That was an incredible movie and easily could've won if it had got a nomination...

Well, I see a ton of movies (I study them.) The only one of the five nominated that I thought was excellent was Capote. But Truman Capote of course was gay so your homophobia and paranoia (of course multinational corporations like Fox News and NBC/ Unversial are liberal....sure right corporations are liberal:Smug: :Smug: ) might prevent you from liking the movie. It's much better than Brokeback which was like a gay version of The Bridges of Madision County.

Good Night, Good Luck was well done, but a bit simple.

Didn't much care for Munich and I've already said how much I hated Crash.

I don't want to rain on your gay pride parade there fag:cry: ....But Phillip Seymour Hoffman is a great actor!! My problem with Capote was the fact that it was very boring...Here's a question for you there hero..How come your precious gay loving liberals didn't push Capote's sexuality like they did for brokeback??
Answer - Capote wasn't centered around his cock sucking like brokeback was and that's why your pals wanted brokeback to win....oh well too bad

And I don't know what type of studying your doing (It's obviously not film school study..And if it is don't embarass yourself by naming it) But your obviously not in the business...When you have your own IMDB page or actually work in or on the set of a film or TV show or hell maybe even write a script then maybe I'll take you seriously:Smug: Until then keep trying to march in those St Patricks Day parades maybe someday they'll let you guys in.....Hold
your breath till they do..

1) I teach a variety of classes on film and European History. I have no inerest in the "industry." Not everything is about Hollywood

2) Unlike you I could care less what Hollywood does or why something is nominated or who the fuck is gay. (I see no big difference between your homophobia and a gay pride parade...It's all lame self-important chest thumping...."We're Here and We're Queer" is no different "Me American, who hates Queers"
Politics is another form of entertainment for me. I love when people become all angry and self-important and think that they are more than just rats in a historical maze

3) Christ have you no logic? If "liberal" Hollywood really wanted Brokeback to win it would have. Who do you think votes for the films? So "gay loving" liberals run Hollywood and wanted Brokeback to win but they decided not to vote for it because they wanted it to win. Makes perfect sense....

4) Capote was far less boring than any of other films. It was the only one that psychologically complex characters....
And Capote (especially as played by Hoffman) was ten times more a flaming homosexual than the "manly" cowboys in Brokeback. It had no chance of winning because it was the darkest and most cynical of the films. Hollywood likes feel good crap like Brokeback or Crash, which of the 5 films were the worst.....

Crash was a feel good movie???  Ok.....

And um, I am the programming director for the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, live, breathe movies... but the only one out of that batch nominated that I even bothered watching was Crash...
