I hope some shows this to Scott Ian

I hate to correct you, but after the Twins lost out in the championship series, they are the team to beat this year. They are young and only just improving. The only concern is the health of there starting pitching, and we all saw how they did last year with that whole situation.

As bad as the Dome is, it IS our home field advantage. I know the Dome is nothing special, but it has sentimental value, being it is the first place I have ever seen a MLB game. I have been to wrigley, Bush, Fenway, Miller, Kauffman, and they all are great. But the Dome is my home turf. I have been to hundreds of games there and no one can take that away from me. I have seen both no hitters ever thrown in the dome and countless other great games. Ok enough ramblings

Well, when they tore down Memorial Stadium in Baltimore I wept. But Camden Yards is something else. That place is the shit. Great bars in the vicinity too. Dan is the man over at Sliders. Not Spitz, mind you. The owner and management of the Twins has gone on record as saying that if they don't build a new stadium, they'll lose money which means they'll lose talent which means they'll become the next expo's. Probably one of the only things that keeps business coming to camden is the stadium itself. Just hope that if they build a new stadium in minnesota, it won't be another candy land like where the brewers and astros play. They lack charm. Nice though, but no charm.

Expos should move to DC - then at last the world's best outfielder Vlad Guerrero could get the exposure he deserves...
They are being managed by the MLB right now and will play some 20-30 games in Portorico and Dominican Republic - this is only a delay of a certain demise for the Xpos why not move them to a USA city right away??

I think it is shitty that MLB is running the Expos. Major conflict of interest, but I guess pro sports have gotten so big that no one cares. I wanna bump this thread back up cause I love talking baseball and I want to keep it going. Any Big Baseball Fans?

can you believe the expos don't get seen on tv in their home area? they have to get out to either DC or Portland. I am a D backs fan as I have lived here since their beginning but my heart will always be with the tribe as I grew up routing for the dumb old indians. I also would like the twins to do it just so the Yankees could be laughed at again for spending the amount of cash they do.

I will actually be glad as in a few years the dbacks will earn their success as they will retire all these old guys of theirs and bring up all the killer young talent they have in the minors right now. They are like the twins a few years ago when all their current talent was down in double A.

I'm a longtime Braves fan (yes, even during the horible 80's era) and just love baseball in general.

I agree that MLB running the Expos is ahuge conflict of interest, but look who the commissioner is ;)

As much good as Selig has done for baseball, I feel he's caused as much bad and should really step aside.

I really like the Phillies this year. I'm glad to see the NL East really kick it up all around. Although as a Braves fan I love seeing them in playoffs every year (and of course have to try and live through them getting beat every year ocne they get there) I like to see the competition increase. The Mets look paticularly strong and even the Marlins look decent enough (they'll have to rely on the pitching staff to carry them and pray Pudge stays healthy all year). If they manage to hang in there through the fisrt half of the year, they could make a couple key trades and definitely be in the playoff hunt come September.

American League West is still the toughest division. The NL East upgraded all around, but the AL West is still the best.

I was a Braves fan through last half of the 80's. The first World Series there against the Twins, I was still a fan. Everyone jumped on the bandwagon and I jumped off.
My 3 favorite teams now are as follows.

The Mariners, Any team playing the Yankees, Any team playing the Braves except the Yankees
