I love new gear!

Heh yeah. Maybe to a pro you might look like an idiot 'mindlessly shredding', but to me it looks pretty awesome man.

Then again I've only been guitaring for a few weeks, playing nothing more than Iron Maiden intro's on an LTD. But still, good stuff, and fuck.. cool dog. ;D

thanks, she's old as sin though, I still got a long ways to go though, im starting lessons monday next week to get my technique better

Yeah I'd love to get proper lessons, but every day I'm not at college, I'm working full days. So it just wouldn't work out. At the moment I'm just learning off beginners books and printouts of GP4 tabs.

Im in the same problem, 12 units in college and 40 hrs+ a week at work, I am making room for lessons though, I need them

Yeah, I'll probably just leave it til after college. I'd also like to learn a language, but I don't really have time to that either. :p

Behold...Rack o' Doom! :lol:

Nice guitar tone, I must say. You just need to improve palm-mutings and other things to play cleanly, but your hands are in synch and you certainly don't suck :)

@Elysian
what do they teach you in your school? besides the work with wood
(to cut out guitar out of wood) do they teach you acoustic characteristics of wood and other materials? electronics what pickups preamps etc?
do they teach you the secret of various models success, for example Gibson's warmth and their cool overtone sound type, or Jackos, what makes them so great for metal? or do they concentrate just on one particular model?

they pretty much teach all what you listed, and more... much much much more... today i sat through a lecture for the difference between the various cuts of wood(which was odd cause we already got that lecture once before), but yeah, they teach a shit ton of stuff. i've already got a binder full of handouts and i've only been here about 3 weeks now lol
