I Made A Not-Shitty, Not-Boring Mixing Course (And Called It "From Shit To Gold")

Here is the rundown of what this course is and what it includes:

- I spent 6 months creating this course out of thin air. It includes 65 videos split into 5 "modules" (9 hours of total content).

- I keep it interesting by not having a basic-bitch monotone voice.

- I show you things I've never seen any other mixing course show (like the exact measurements of the microphone placement on my Mesa OS cab, or how much each room in your house effects your tone when mic'ing a guitar cab)

- I also provide the raw files for you to download and mix along with the course.

- I guide you through the entire mixing process of a song. Every single thing I do from the raw shitty unmixed tracks, to final master.

Here is the "Shit Mix" (just the raw, unmixed files)

Here is the "Gold Mix" (the final product that we get to by the end of the course)

The course won't be launching for about a month or so, but sign up to the mailing list and you'll get two things.

Thing 1: I'll send you the raw session files for you to download and do what you want with. My assumption is that you'll use the files for mixing practice, but who the fuck am I do tell you what to do with them?

Thing 2: In a few weeks, I'll send you through a 6 video free preview of the course. It's 6 of my favorite videos out of the course, and they are very helpful on their own (even outside of the context of the course).

I promise not to annoyingly spam your email with pointless shit. You will probably get less than 10 emails from me over the course of the next 30+ days (6 of those being for each of the 6 mixing course previews, and one of them being the raw session files I send you when you first sign up).

I'll be releasing a lot more info about this course as I get closer to the actual launch, but feel free to ask me any questions about it.

Here are some random screenshots from the course videos:

Hey Brian!

Is there anything in this videos that you can only do in PT and it is crucial to final mix and master? Or are this tutorials for all DAWs?

Cheers!!!

This course is definitely still helpful for any other DAWs. I have 15 beta students that are in the course right now, and the majority of them are in Cubase, Nuendo, or Reaper.

There is one or maybe two plugins I use in the course that is "Pro Tools exclusive". One of them is the sansamp PSA-1 plugin. There may be one more, but they all have workarounds to get similar results with other plugins. None of them are crucial to the final sound.
