i get no sound at all......

and how do I exactly "recognize" instances?

I got two separate tracks........ two separate goldengates running. One running gate1, the other running internal.

So that should be all I need to work it right?

Take the track that is "Internal" and move the audio out of time and see if the out of time audio is triggering the gate on the track that is "Gate1"

I don't know how the Golden Gate plug works, but I know with a C1 you route both tracks to a stereo submix (one panned hard right, the other hard left) with ONE gate, then set the plug to recognize the left channel as the key and the right as the audio or vice-versa.

I don't know if that'll help you out at all though, lol!

This is probably the way to do it... This is how it has to be done in cubase since cubase does not yet support sidechaining..

Can you make a quad bus in audition?
