Lately what I want to hear is heavy music that really moves me emotioanlly. It seems like most metal isn't extremely expressive, and a lot of it is downright silly. I'm sure there are some gems somewhere. I hope that people here can help me.

EDIT: I don't want any recommendations of stuff that's popular, because I probably know about it already. Sorry. :)

Agalloch
Ne Obliviscaris
Gris
Daylight Dies
Katatonia
Novembre
Cynic - Traced in Air
Devin Townsend
Disillusion
Draugnim
Moonsorrow (Verisakeet, V: Havitetty, Tulimyrsky)
Ikuinen Kaamos
In the Woods...
Klabautamann
Krallice
Agrypnie
Negura Bunget - Om

A lot of these are heavy but not really emotional, like Isis, Textures, etc.

Fall of Empyrean - emotional Death/Doom
Funeral
Rapture - emotional, Melodic Death/Doom

Desire - emotional, dark Funeral Doom

If we're putting down Funeral Mist as emotional then we might as well paste the metal archives glossary into this thread.

I knew that I left something out. I should have posted some examples. Candlemass would already be a band that sums up what I'm looking for. A lot of the stuff that people posted is way off. :ill:

I still have to check out some of these bands. I had heard of Agalloch before, and I like the stuff I found on MySpace. :)

I'll post again after I check through the rest of this stuff.
