Same chain as before, only an i5 instead of a 57. It was way easier to place and get a good tone going - I'm really liking it a lot more than the 57.

*EDIT* I've also realized that the reason it sounded so familiar to me at the time was because it's almost a dead-ripoff of The Glass Prison. Thank god it was only a test run, and not a real song I was writing!

I mentioned that I was probably going to snag some more mics and try those out, but I haven't gone ahead and reamped anything from those yet. Will be doing that this weekend.

I really like using an i5 to add 'snap' and brightness (without just fizzing up the thing like a soda bottle in a washing machine) to high tunings and depth to low tunings that sometimes just get neglected by the 57's rolloff.
