i really get bugged by front-loaded cd's

at least with jellyfish you can listen to the recording and be amazed. and trying to picture their singer/drummer performing all that stuff is mind-boggling. on his stand-up cocktail kit.
man, i thought i was one of the only people who remembered that band.
there's some sort of huge box set that has a ton of stuff in it, but it's too expensive to spend on a band who only (as far as i know) released 2 records.

that spilt milk is awesome though. great songwriting and production.

I used to think that Anathema's Alternative 4 was one album whose second half paled before its first, but I've grown to love Regret and the title track (always did in case of the former.) As for the Bath joke, I've always been of the opinion that LYBM is slightly front loaded, though there's no significant dropoff in quality.

For me I've been noticing of Bath and LYBM that while I adore both albums... goddamn the last songs from each rape the hell out of me. In a non-discrimantory fashion of course!
