Hi there... well I've been recording the second Rainwound album, and although the tones are SO much better than the first album, and the music has really matured, I think the older songs actually have a better consistency, they don't rumble the speakers or anything. But their tones aren't nearly as good as the new CD. But they sound better through the speakers if that makes any sense.
Please check out http://www.myspace.com/rainwound and compare the new song "To Measure One's Worth" to the older song "Love's Sacrifice" or even "The Glory".
I don't notice it in the headphones, maybe because these headphones are flat response or something, but when I play it through the laptop the bass rumbles it...... which it doesn't do with other songs. Also when I took it to capacity (i. e. uber loud) with my desktop speakers on the studio computer, it really seemed to break up, distort. What the hell did I do wrong? I don't remember it doing this with earlier songs I put out but I am using the SAME SETTINGS! Same tones using same presets. Even the mix seems muddy. Please let me know what you think, this is really bothering me. Thanks!
