Heart of Dixie
I've noticed that as PP approaches, my behavior changes. I'm a little more irritable, generally dissatisfied with the daily routine, and more easily distracted. I don't take much time off leading up to PP, and this is a traditionally busy time of year, so I can partially explain away my ennui.

But mostly I think I'm just ready for the damn festival. Is it PP yet?

I get that too... The "experience" starts when I meet my buds at the airport. Five days of pure happiness... :kickass:

Time is really moving slowly presently though and it's hard to concentrate on the job. Bring it on!!! :loco:

Get back to listening to Angra. You were happy last night. Put that shit on again and you'll be fine.:lol:

I'm having a wicked case of the pre-PPUSA whatevers myself. I can't bring myself to give too many shits about the code I'm planning out right now...I just...want...my...metal!

On the plus side, though, the full album stream of The Safety Fire's newest album is keeping me rather entertained.

Hah. I don't even get to go home after the fest. I'll be on site in Pittsburgh the week after. But the good part of that is that my travel is company sponsored! I just have to pay for my hotel.

I've certainly been getting antsy. I'm seriously tempted to call in sick to work on Sunday and Monday, but as it's the holiday weekend, I know if I do that they'll be up shit creek without a paddle. And I want the holiday pay on Monday. I'm SO READY to get away for a week or so.

I am in a very similar situation with the job bearing down and not enough time to do all my "preparation listening". Actually, next week is quite a music/metal week for me. On Saturday & Sunday, I will be in Chapel Hill, NC seeing a variety of eclectic and progressive bands, including Thank You Scientist. Tuesday evening it is Iron Maiden. And then of course the best of the best festival :worship: on the planet on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

I've been getting that way myself. Trying to plug away at this new software that I am developing and just can't get my mind on it!

Hell, I am already planning out what I am going to pack this year, considering that I try to pack as light as possible, so I can fit all the shit that I end up buying back in my suitcase. For example, I won't even pack a shirt for Sunday, since I'll be getting one there (the "Official ProgPower USA T-Shirt"). Don't need socks since I'll be wearing my flip-flops the entire time.

I am so friggan stoked for this. The second that I get out of work on Wednesday afternoon (will probably have to ditch early), hopefully Dave will be at the house waiting, and we can then hit the road south for Richmond to catch that flight out to Atlanta!

I do the exact same thing. Hell, I don't even pack one friday or saturday.
