I agree. This "mistake" is inexcusable. It is almost as if it is in response to the multiple "mistakes" that CNN has made.

did you see that for yourself or just pull it from somebody's blog site?
i havent seen anything at all like that on FOX and i watch it exclusively. in fact, every time i've heard them talk about this story, they've referred to him as a Republican.

i'm not saying this kind of mistake isnt possible or that it didnt happen. i'm just saying i have yet to see that.

I did see it on fox news, but not the three times they say, other wise I would have taken it as some bullshit. I can understand a typo like that black guy they had on one day, his name was Niger... but on TV it was spelled my pals.

And did anyone see that Clinton interveiw on fox? I dont like Clinton, or what he did while he was in office, but god damn they set his ass up.

are you talking about the interview with Chris Wallace?

that wasnt a set up. that was a legitimate question, in light of the fact that the first WTC bombing happened on his watch, as well as attacks against US interests in Yemen, the Sudan AND against the U.S.S. Cole.

the way the question was presented was pretty even-handed. i dont think there was any malice behind it, at all. i think Wallace was sincerely looking for Clinton's perspective on how he handled Bin Laden.

i've seen the exact same question put to Pres. Bush, often in less 'civil' terms. he never flew off the handle or had a temper tantrum because of it.

i guess that's the difference between a pampered sociopath and a real man. :Smug:

I saw it. It aired three times on a prerecorded show,Bill O Reilly. Someone clearly was trying to lessen the impact.

I didn't vote for Clinton, but I applauded him for not taking shit from the wretched media in this country.

Where?

It is my understanding that Fox made the mistake once. The only times it was re-broadcast was when they made statements amending what they had previously broadcast. So, it may have been shown 3 times but, it was only shown once in the context that has all the Dems getting moist.
I didn't bother to do a search but, I don't recall anyone here bringing up the numerous "mistakes" that CNN conveniently makes when reporting on Republicans. I wonder why that is...?

numerous press conferences put out to every network, for starters.

the efforts Clinton made to 'get' Bin Laden are embarrassing, in comparison to Bush's efforts.
this may be because the Clinton administration held the military in such low regard [military personel were forbidden to wear their uniforms in the Clinton White House and high ranking military officials were treated like caddys for Hillary's brothers when they came to visit] and considered terrorism to be a 'police matter,' rather than an act of war.

This is delusional revisionism. When Clinton tried bombing Bin Laden, everyone said it was wag the dog.

Basically, for the last 25 years, american policy has failed toward the middle east, but for you of course it is all just republican vs. democract.

And ask Israel, or you know should you actually see the world outside of the South and Fox News, terrorism is a often a matter of policing. A simple stroll through their airports confirm this.

What does CNN have to do with what Fox reported?

you're wrong. period.

Clinton tried bombing Bin Laden, by lobbing a couple of missles at an aspirin factory... after hours so that no one would get hurt. :zombie:

the first failure in Somalia, after the Black Hawk helicopter was shot down, Clinton rushed out like a scalded dog then tossed responsibility to the local police forces.

that show of cowardice on Clinton's part prompted Bin Laden to say in a later interview that America was a 'paper tiger' and that we'd run at the first sign of trouble.

do you honestly believe your local police force could sniff out and stop a terrorist threat, given the well-organized and funded efforts such organizations have shown?

arent our local police forces strapped enough with every day crimes, or do you suggest they let everything else... robberies, rapes, murders, drug trafficking... let it all go and concentrate on terrorism?

Clinton was a coward. he had no backbone and he made this nation a laughing stock.

as for the US policy towards the Middle East, it isnt the policy that's failing. it's the 15th century frame of mind that keeps peaceful efforts from working, forcing us to take stiffer measures.

It has to do with the plain and simple fact that Fox did this once. CNN has pulled shit like this over and over. Ironically, it gets pointed out when Fox does it. Telling, don't you think?

I don't know man. Where I grew up, the police were always too busy busting us kids for drinking beer in the park and playing football after the park closed. I shudder to think they could do anything to thwarth a terrorism. I could be wrong though.
In regards to Clinton wagging the dog, it is true. During the Lewinsky scandal, he sent troops to Somalia. That had nothing to do with Bin Laden.
I will agree that I am underwhelmed with America's foreign policy. That is mostly derived from our border situation though.

Listen dumbasses....police action means using intellegence agencies, special forces, commandos, etc, things like that.

Quit being so fucking stupid. At least, the general population of
Israelis gets it.

Again, the Fox "mistake" aired three times on a prerecorded show. WHAT THE FUCK DOES HAVE TO DO WITH CNN?

Do you always blame everyone else for what you do wrong?

Edit: I meant to reply to the stupid post. You at least try to make a point, even if wrong.

by 'intelligence agencies,' do you mean agencies like the CIA and FBI?

the 9/11 Commision report showed that before 9/11 there was a 'wall' put up between the CIA and FBI that prevented them from sharing information that could have helped stop the attack.

for Clinton to toss this to those agencies when neither was privvy to the same information the other had was pointless, at that time.

Umm, I don't think he's saying to use the local police force to try and stop terrorism. Words can have more than one meaning. But somehow it doesn't suprise me you thought that was what he meant.

As for 9/11 being Clintons fault, thats just fucking ridiculous and stupid. Terrorism is like the war on drugs, YOU WILL NEVER WIN THAT WAR!!!!!!! Now, I'm not saying don't do anything about it, but, sending a minimal amount of troops months after the fact isn't doing much.

Also, there still hasn't been one factual situation stated, let alone many of your claims, that CNN does this "all the time". Instead, replies of how dumb you think it is for your "local police men" to single handedly stop terrorism. Ironic,eh??
