I woke up just to write this song

I got this weirdo grunge-esquee riff in my head, so I woke up and decided to write the riff down, but I ended up doing it into a whole song :heh: It's 4AM now and I mixed it with headphones so it might sound a bit funny. The cymbals sound nice as always :Puke: I also decided to try this "not completely doubled" approach where the other guitar sometimes plays similiar, but different thing, gave the soundfield a bit more life instead of getting that huge quadtracked mono effect that you get with metal guitars too often. But the playing ain't that tight either

You got this riff in your head while you were asleep or what? I didn't quite get it if you were awake or not at that time.. :D I find it very cool when things like that happen, for example you dream of writing a song and you wake up and actually remember one or several of the riffs from the dream. It has happened to me like once only... and when it did, I realized in "reality" that the riff wasn't actually all that awesome as it felt like it was in the dream =)

Not my cup of tea, but I liked the section in the middle! The rest was alright, kind of groovy/funky :D

at least on my speakers all I hear is guitars, the drums are way back in the mix could come up a bit for sure. Also the guitar tone isn't really good unless its supposed to be liked this?? Too fuzzy for my liking. The bass however is sounding really full so kudos on that. But definitely thumbs down on that pod farm guitar tone :D

It is pretty close what I was after, this Alice in Chains "Them Bones" kinda oversaturated grunge tone. The tone is combination of the Citrus D-30 and Solo 100 Head in the pod farm. But also do remember that I mixed this on headphones half asleep in the middle of the night so it clearly affected the end result :) I'll make a new version later
