I just picked up this single/EP whatever you wanna call it. this was the first time I heard Ripper singing the Iced Earth material.

WOW.

This WILL be one of the TOP metal albums of 2004 (Jan 13th US release date).

The acoustic (yes I said acoustic) version of "When the Eagle Cries" is probably one of the best all around well written damned song I've heard in years.

Watchout, this album will leave an amazing impression and I've only heard the 4 songs on this release.

While I'm excited about the new album, When The Eagle Cries is the worst song I've ever heard by any band.

I really like the instruments on the new single, but I really can't stand The Ripper's voice, especially on Valley Forge. Barlow is so much better.

I thought that song was incredible, and probably the best 911 tribute/remberance song to date.

I like Ripper's voice, I thought he was a good sub for Halford... at times he sounded almost identical, which wasn't important to me, but I thought it was cool.
