If i like Anathema i will surely like...

The Gathering, Antimatter, Katatonia (check 'tonights decision' ar 'last fair deal gone down', not the others), Radiohead, Pink Floyd, newer 'Celestial Season', new Amorphis

this is no list of sound-a-likes of course.

seriously though, i was chatting with a friend the other day and we both agreed that madonna has a very cool album in her discography. i dont remember the name...but im gonna burn it to a cd one of these days. it had tracks like "love dont live here anymore" (kick-ass track), something like "i'll stand on my own" and things like that. anyone remember those? she had a few videos, too with that matador.

and another confession: george michael's "older" album is amazing.

thank you.

i was jokin but actually yeah, madonna's "music" album was kinda cool.

fuckin' french... :(

yeah there are some electronic good stuff of madonna, I dont know if its on the "music" album :Smug: , but the frozen (old) video is great !!

and getting back ...

here are also very different bands, but if you like all anathema periods you would like this ones:

old-anathema: old-my dying bride, old-paradise lost, novembers doom, opeth, old-amorphis...

mid-anathema: katatonia, saturnus, in the woods, green carnation, lacrimas profundere, morgion, opeth, my dying bride, lacuna coil, tiamat, empyrium, moonspell, therion, orphaned land, arcturus, autumnblaze, decoryah, old-evereve, left hand solution, primordial, sentenced, old-theatre of tragedy, paradise lost...

new-anathema: the gathering, mellow-opeth, pink floyd, amorphis, antimatter, within temptation, the loveless, chalice, the 3rd & the mortal...

Frozen was from the album before 'Music', Ray of Light, which I coincidentally listen to this morning. Great album, the only one I own from her.

Tho someone should've said to her it ain't a great idea to rap in that latest single :puke:

And besides that Ray of Light I haven't been too thrilled about her music. Two latest albums sound quite crap judging from the singles and little snippets I've heard...

My favourite Madonna album is the blue one with 'Like a Prayer' on it. I don't remember its title ...
@ Dhatura : Ok Biohazard is not as great as it used to be but they still kick fat arses on stage and there are better examples of bands that decayed in the past few years. Take Machine Head for example. How can one make the best Thrash Metal album of the 90's and end up making this crappy nu-rap-metal shit now arghhhhhhh.
Still the live album is ok

Pink Floyd

cause Anathema is the new Pink Floyd, you would like them a lot, but i think that you already know them
