if i pay nevermore out of my own pocket will they play a show in san diego?

I don't know what's in the US-market for Nevermore, but if you can scrape up about 350 000$ plus expenses (including transportation, hospitality etc.) you can get Maiden. Sure, no Nevermore but there's more...

I was semi involved in booking bands for a while and it usually ran about 30-60k per show and could get up well past 100k for certain bands. You also have to fulfill contractual obligations and often some strange requests...

If you could pay them enough to play at your wedding that would be both hilarious and awesome.

If they do, you know you're inviting the whole neverboard to your wedding, right?

1 Shekel.

Max you're too damn cute

As for Dawkins, I have to say, I see Derek's point, but I kinda tend to be on the fence on that issue... I have read Dawkins and I really had no issues with his work or his love for naturalism and science.. For me, it was just another opinion. In Fact I found many of what he had to say great and interesting and even agreed with a big chunk of his work.
I see what you're saying though Derek, but I simply never really had an issue with it.. maybe I should re-read it myself..

I'm in San Diego - I'll chip in !!!

Funny - I've had those "lottery dreams" conversations with friends about something like this, where I would pay big $$$ to have some of my favorite bands play a celebration party. Not only would it be cool to have a private show, but it would also be nice to give the band some thanks with an easy payday. Once I win, I'll pay NM $50K to headline, and I think I'll offer another $50K to CORONER if they'll reunite and open the show!
