Do you have some kind of inside info on them? As far as I know, the band hates both flying and touring, and haven't toured the US since, about '94? I would love a US Bolt Thrower tour, but I don't see it happening. Hell, they don't even tour all that often in Europe.

I think Powerwolf or Grave Digger actually might get a decent reaction. I don't think the fest could have a straight up balls-less power metal band, i.e. Gamma Ray for example.

Actually, since so many bands play this fest, people would probably read over a power metal band's name as they would any other band they'd never heard of.

Probably, but my point was that if MDF were to have power metal, they couldn't have some happy power metal band.

So MDF is adding Baltimore Soundstage as part of the fest...for local punk & hardcore bands only. The problem is that Baltimore Soundstage has THE BEST sound system in the state, it's a shame to "waste" it on locals only.

I still plan on going to MDF for the first time next year!

God I hated Weedeater at the Vitus show.

As for Down, I actually love them and they're an awesome live band...BUT I don't understand their inclusion here whatsoever. It'll turn a lot of MDFers off I'm thinking.
