You're probably going to laugh at this but is there some kind of government or state funded emergency agency or something that would offer low income people just enough cash to get out of there?
I'd look into it if you have'nt already.
Try to conserve food and water just in case. Good luck.
Man that's scary.

Cut your electricy and gas when its about to come, lock everyhting, put everything breakable on the ground
Put all your valuable things somewhere safe and if you have many things that you want safe dont put them all in the one place cos if it gets fucked then they are all gone.
Put everything glass on the ground.
Make sure all your electrical shit is straped down or something
And youll need somewhere safe, may i suggest a bathtub with a matress over it.

Good luck man hope i was some help.

Just saw this on fox news. If you need help getting out, try to find some generous people to give you a ride with them but if you can't, you can call these numbers for assistance:

311 or 713-837-0311

They were talking mainly about the galvesten area evacuation but these numbers are a start.

Yeah, no doubt.

Beef is, Im actually not low income... Im staying in The Woodlands and what not, Im just currently broke and what not.

I should be able to get into Fort Worth, but yeah... Im gonna cut the electricity and the water for sure... and try to rig up some kind of protective device to shield my gear in the event a tree comes through the house or something... however unlikely.

Im worried more about the winds than the water... I think Im far enough away from the coast and/or any large bodies of water in which to worry about.

We bought up some non-perishables and what not in the event we did get stuck here... water, canned shit, some bread, whatever... all in all though, I think Ill be able to get the hell out... I just wish I could fit my drums in the car WITH all the other shit I need to bring, but, I wont be able!

Small hurricanes can be fun (until you've been without power, clean water, or gasoline for a week in central Florida heat and humidity), but this is not a small hurricane. Whatever happens, best of luck, and definitely get out if you can.

Well... there were three big ones predicted. This is the second one. If you don't have any ..... buy some insurance NOW!!!!!!
Hurricane season ends around the end of November, so............
My buds get seriously into this stuff. This hurricane will FLOOD New Orleans again!
Here's the advisory they sent me-- No, this is NO JOKE!

Dude, don't clown around. If you can get inland .... GO NOW!
Rita

Katrina
The Rita hurricane has a crazy tight eye which=it is not weakening anytime soon.
Good Luck man!

Yeah no doubt... seems a MASS exodus to Dallas has a 3.5 trip now up to an 11 hour trip!!!!

Im going the back route up to Fort Worth... playing HELLLLBOUUUNNNNDDDD in Fort Worth TEXAS like the whole fucking time on repeat.

This is fucking intense man... now the 5th strongest hurricane on record... 904 millibar central pressure... I Should go outside and try to rock through it... lmao, be all "METAL" and shit... but, no seriously, Im probably heading out... but Im taking back roads.. the free ways are FUCKED!

I just hold onto a twisted, testosterone filled MAN dream of finding some fine ass chick through the mess and being like "since, we're all gonna die... how about some shagging?" and seeing if anything badass materializes through the devastation!

Im throwing my guitars in the car... cant fit my drums or recording rig... so... Im trying to build some form of contraption that can house them out of wood, couches, and blankets.

J... I wish ya the best, man. I would hate to be in that position. I'm in AZ we never get stuff like you coast dwellers... Been watching this bitch on CNN, too. Does not seem to be idling or slowing down, but growing more and more wicked.

170MPH sustained winds... CAT5... full blown heading right at ya. Brutal.
