just recording this rock/alt band and we're using different snares on every song, live recording, no samples etc.
since we're on a tight schedule I didn'teven bother sampling the snare.....

and now, after recording I realized that one of the snares (without processing already) sounded pretty much EXACTLY like Piccolo of Alesis D4...just a bit more natural.
now that snare is one of my faorites and I could have had THAT sound from a real snare, multi-sampled etc....

fortunately I can cut 4-5 clean hits from the song (just have to shorten the tail a tiny bit)...but I don't have the multi-samples of this most awesome snare ever....dammit!!!!!

can't even remeber which snare and head we used for that one....we've also changed the tuning at least twice since then.

this sound will just be lost I guess....
I'll post the 3-4 samples I'll grab from the song though
