I'm not good at long posts/rants but here goes my best.
Last week has been hellish and then some. The grandaughter of one of Mom's cousins was taking a long trip across Central America. The trip was ending here, when she and her friend were on ths north of the coutry she felt some abdominal pain and was taking to a hospital. Guess what? Apendicitis! What a way to be on vacation isn't it? So she called her mother in Israel which then contact us, we were damn worried. But for some reason she couldn't get surgery on the hospital and was taking to a another one in the capitol. So mom was visiting her and looking upon the process, the girl does not speak Spanish and mom does'nt speak English, luckily the other girl does.
So mom was in and out the hospital the whole week while I was working. On Friday while she was at the clinic, the house was left alone for a couple of hours. Guess what? We got burglarized! The motherfuckers stole mom's TV set, a small sound system from my room and of course the computer!!!!! Plus they trashed mom's room and took some jewelry too.
Of course we call the police which basically told us "tough luck" and then you go and put the report with the "detectives" which took me one hour just to get a "tough luck" and we will visit you to collect clues. So in the meantime mom was sleeping in my room and I was in the living room.
Sometime passed midnight the CSI team
arrived and after some pictures and a whole pantomime they concluded they could'nt find a decent fingerprint (they can't find they asses if they have to shit!).
It took us the whole weekend to get the house back in order, I already bought a new TV set for mom, but my comp was a HP custom made in USA which I brought back with me when I returned last year.
The closest thing in the market here goes around $2500, and ordering online from here is basically out of the question. I will have to build a "clone" (non-brand PC compatible) and it will take me some weeks so I'm not going to be much online as I used to be.
I spent Monday taking Mijal (my relative) from hospital and yesterday I was on a whole day meeting outside the city. I woke up today at 4:30 to take the girl to the airport and I still have the whole day ahead on the job.
