Pure Holocaust is definitely in the top three best and most influential black metal cds ever. Christ, even Fenriz (from Darkthrone) has called this the epitome of what black metal should sound like.

The guitar work is beyond original for this genre. There will never be another guitarist like Demonaz again. Very twisted and evil. The drumming is incredible (by Abbath no less!).

Get it now!

How would this album compare to say In The Nightside Eclipse, in Atmosphere, Complexity, Wall Of Noise Factor, and Cheese content?

Is it worth my hard earned Dole money?

I honestly believe it's the band's most brutal offering. The sound is overall good and the music is legendary. I'd say grab it; you can't go wrong with that puppy!

I bought it when it hit the States in late '94, and it shreds! I love it still!
