Hi, fellas!

I just wanted to share my latest cover: In Flames´ Pinball Map:

It features Juan Pablo and Álvaro from Carving Colours (which record I worked in) and Emilio Sánchez "Kanina" at drums.

I was recorded using Axe FX for guitars and bass, and AKG mics for OH, bas drum, toms and snare bottom plus a Shure SM57 for snare top and an Audio Technica AT4041 for hi-hat through a Focusrite Scarlett 18i20.

I hope you like it and share it! Cheers!

UPDATE: After some busy weeks and finding some time to clean and sort the audio, I managed to pack the DIs.

Please, when you post your mixes, be sure to label your file something like "Pinball Map mixed by me (recorded by Jotun Studio)", and copy this in your info/description, as it´s the only thing I´m requesting to share them:

"Tracks recorded by Leo Peña at Jotun Studio, original mix here:

BTW, the song is at 228 BPM.

Have fun mixing this and let me know when you do it!

Wow, sounds nice and clean. Any way you'd be up for sharing the DI's/raw tracks ?

Hey, buddies, thanks for the visits and comments!

Alquimistas, jajaja, me gusta tu definición :D Y siendo fan de In Flames, me alegro de que te mole el resultado. Un saludo!

Cobhc, I didn´t try to replicate the sound of the original at all. In fact I didn´t listen to it for references, just for some parts I wanted the musicians to play much similar to the original. This way, it would sound more personal and also, it´s very hard to copy a sound if you don´t have the right ingredients.

ArthurD, glad you liked it, man.

Haydukk, I´m happy you feel the mix that way.

I´ve got the DIs but they are unedited (punching a few bars before recording), so I would have to sort them out a little, and I´m quite busy this week. I´ll try to post them, but cannot assure you anything.

Cheers!

Thanks for this job! Like this song. I think the vocals by comparing with the original is rather peculiar. It does not spoil the work, but it sounds unusual

Hey fellas! I´ve been very busy with personal issues first and later with work, so forgive me for not posting here.

I´ll try to sort the files (I have to prepare and export them, and it will take me a while), but I´m planning on sharing them.

Heabow, thanks for the words on the production and playing (the drummer is a beast), and glad you liked my vocals. I prefer to put my own spin to it than to try to replicate it and fail...

Alex, thank you! I know that they don´t sound like Anders´ but that´s what I said before: I prefer it doing on my own style, though I know some people will find it different (sometimes in a bad way)

Cheers!
