In-flames studio episodes (New 2011 album)

Nice! Loved the intro riffage.

After a few listens, I actually really like this. Killer stuff! :headbang:

+1!!!!

Definitely has a Reroute To Remain feel to it... in an evolution of a band kind of way. If that makes sense. It's like the jump from something like Clayman to Reroute To Remain in terms of writing style and vocals. This is something new for them, and I am definitely digging it. I love the new direction Anders is taking w/ the vocals. Awesome stuff. At first I was kinda like "meh" about the new album, but now I'm :Smokin:

Not sure how I am feeling about the guitar tone ..... Its a bit "loose" compared to everything else they have done, and it seems a bit muddy and not bright enough. But I love the song great song writing, and the drums are awesome so natural yet so big. You can totally tell Bjorn wrote it he loves those big synth parts ...lol

Like I said above, it definitely sounds like RtR to me. Maybe it's those big synth parts and all of those "loose" guitar parts comprised of many layers. It definitely has a huge wide sound to it. :)

Oh, and since the link above is dead, here ya go:

It's also available in the UK for download on iTunes. Just FYI.

Digging this song but the guitar tone is not great at all imo :(
Really is much more focused on other elements of the mix.

Love the "the guitars are tighter and more in sync"... when you see VocAlign on the computer screen it's kind of like saying: "The vocals are more in tune than ever" with Autotune or Melodyne showing up on the screen behind the singer :) :D

Holy shit, I didn't even notice that! :headbang: Hilariously awesome and fail on their part at the same time. hahaha

I've been super curious about using VocAlign on harmonized leads, definitely going to try it after seing this. Can't imagine it working very well on rhythm tracks, though - wouldn't it make it artifacty?

Yeah it's usually pretty transparent on vocals, but I can imagine it getting weird with all the transients and nuances of a guitar DI, especially when it can't even handle legato-style vocal lines very well to begin with.

I've actually used it to sync up a bass and guitar palm muted track once, it worked perfectly with no artifacts whatsoever, perhaps this was the case as i did it on a clean guitar track
