In Need of Brutality

I wonder if Cookiecutter can discuss anything besides devourment/slam riffs and 15 shitty brutal death metal bands which makes up 90% of his cd collection.

UM forum and you know jackshit.

Friday night ban-dom in order maybe??

I really wish you all would quit cock fighting over your "musical knowledge prowess" and just realize that differing opinions exist, and noone is 100% right all the time, even as much as some of you fail to comprehend about yourselves.

Get over yourselves and quit always junking up this forum with needless insulting comments that end up making a larger percentage of replies than the actual topic. I've had it with the constant BS when it comes to this of late.

Agreeing with previous poster!

Crypt Of Kerberos
Incantation
Bloodbath
And of course Dismember, how can one speak about brutal death without mentioning them? I mean listen to tracks like Soon To Be Dead or Where Ironcrosses Grow.

When i think of brutal i think raw and powerful so,to me these bands are brutal as hell. Worth checking out for those who havent heard them.

Whether or you not you consider them brutal, they aren't in the sense of the genre. Just as there are characteristics that define every genre, there are characteristic that define brutal death metal, and those bands don't have them.

When considering Brutal Death Metal there's a fine line between that itself and regular death metal. BDM is characterized by large amounts of blast beats, and lyrics related to gore and vile subjects (not medical gore, that's goregrind). Good examples of Brutal Death Metal bands are (old) Aborted, Goretrade, Devourment, Disgorge (Mex), Suffocation and Odious Mortem.
