Hey what up guys ......I'm running into a dead end on this mix........Im thinking it sounds pretty good....but there seems like its really distorted in some parts....so could you guys give it a listen and give me a list on some things to better myself.....im always looking to improve, thanks dude......greatest forum on the face of earth....

Drums were triggered out on a e drum kit......there is real overheads

Does sound great considering what you were using! I can't really hear any distortion (that soundn't be there ) but it does sound pretty squashed!

and the squashing is from using alot of compressing right?
on the master i used an SSL COMP but i only got about 2db's of gain reduction
and im not smashing i got 1db im using with the L3.......where does everyone put on the Out Celing usually?

0.1?
or
0.2?

any ways i could reduce the smashing you hear?

Soon i will be venturing into micing a cab....i cant wait

i will be running him through a SM7b>GT the Brick>RNC
so we will see how it goes

yep indeed, the drums are a bit high. and some snare hits/rolls are a bit "to much 127" to me . but the energy is there. sounds great to me !
