Hey guys,

I recorded this band on my once bedroom, now home studio, on my parents' house. It's been a while since I didn't produce anything in there, so I need your guys opinions. Everything was done with my Fireface 400, except guitars and bass, which were recorded on the studio I work on. For both I used an API 3124, and used a JSX for the guitars (not the perfect amp for this kind of stuff, but that's what I got to use). The amp was mic'ed with both a Royer 121 and a SM57 on a Mesa Vertical 2x12 cab.

I tried a vintage-y vibe, used some Strokes as reference. I probably should make the vocals louder and ride it on some places, but you get the picture. Any opinions welcome!

dude...it sounds really good but the stereo image made me dizzy. guitars are just way too wide. so the drums end up sounding mono. but you got the vibe just right. i hear the master pumping a little bit, and this type of music needs to breath because it doesn't have to be as loud as metal.

i hear a bit of what sounds like tape noise. it's interesting, and yeah, bring in the guitars a little so that they fit with the drums and the "picture" of the music, and then maybe use a stereo expander on the master to get "wideness" out of it. see if that doesnt help.
