Anyone have any suggestions on underground industrial shit?
I really want to get into that genre and dont know what i am looking for... Help me.

Industrial's a broad category like everything else...

There's the noisy more experimental kind of stuff...
There's the aggressive techno kind of thing...
There's the more guitar-heavy metal inustrial...
There's more dancy synth pop stuff, ranging in intensity...
And so on.

What's your flavour?

all i have heard so far is stuff like (dont know if these count) Static-x, system of a down, ulver sounds a bit industrial to me... not much else skinny puppy feels a bit like it, especially a song of theirs called assimilate that one is great.

Definitely check out more SKinny Puppy then. But to warn you - they've covered almost all the categories I mentioned over their career. Vivisect VI is an awesome album ("Testure!") "Smothered Hope" is a good one to check out too.

I love Strapping Young Lad, but that's pretty borderline between metal and industrial.

Here are some other bandn/song suggestions, but they're based mostly on my personal taste more than anything. :)

Pitchshifter: Triad, Virus, Civilized, Condescension
Frontline Assembly: Search and Destroy, Modus Operandi, Iceolate, Plasticity
Fear Factory: Scumgrief (Deep Dub Trauma Mix)
Skrew: Preyflesh, Burning in Water Drowning in Flame
Stabbing Westward: Ungod
Pain: End of the Line, On Your Knees (Again)
Drown: What It Is To Burn
Ministry: So What
Malhavoc: Discipline

I might come back with more later, but that should keep you busy for a while. :) Some other bands worth checking out though...
Wumpscut
Funker Vogt
Angry White Mob
Front 242
VNV Nation
Covenant
Decoded Feedback
Einsturzende Neubauten
Chemlab

how are they nu-metal? rather what is nu-metal??

How are they industrial???????????????????????

Nu Metal = Korn, Limp Bizkit, Static X, Sevendust...

God, primus is more industrial than system of a down.

Mind you, i don't listen to industrial in it's purest form... If you like System of a Down and Static X, and you want to get into Industrial stuff, try Fear Factory and then Strapping young lad... Metal, with industrial elements...

MZ 412, for Dark Ambient stuff
Puissance
FUNKER fucking VOGT
PORE is a band no one knows of, but they fucking kill. Harsh Industrial, cold BM, neoclassical shredding and a hint of dance (!?!), mixed with grind processed vox. Very cold sounding.
the first two FF albums, everything after is bounce-core shit and makes me wasnt to vomit.
Laether Strip
Evil's Toy

There are still elements of industrial on Deviant. Kind of industrial punk. :)

True, but since dot com it's less industrial.. :(

Phoenixology was/is an awesome song, but it's been replaced with Genius and Chump Change :D

Wow...I'm really surprised none of you mentioned GODFLESH. Check out the albums "Godflesh", Streetcleaner" and "Pure" for a start. Can't get much more of the big "how did I end up in this cold, big factory machine hall" than that....

Otherwise check out RED HARVEST and some SWANS-albums.

I forgot PLasma Pool! Astarte will back me up on this one. Hungarian wierdo industrial/techno with Atilla (Aborym, ex-Mayhem) on vox. Crazy and wierd.

I'd check out force of Hatred (or hate?) andf ultra-violence or sleep deprivation if your into the more technoey side.

You can't go wrong with throbbing gristle and whitehouse who started the genre, front line assembly rock too. As do stabbing westward, and NIN if you consider them industrial (but they're not really underground :loco: ) But there are lopts, and I only know a few
