Info please.....

Would like some info anybody, I have a VHS copy of greatest hits live which is one f**king great show, forgive me, I've yet to move into the DVD realm.

Anyway, I know that it's taken from the Destiny Tour but, would like to know the location of venue, name of the place looks pretty small on the inside, if I'm not mistaking I believe Nibbs is wearing a Cult t-shirt, by the way Pauls Hair looks pretty good here.

That was filmed at Central TV Studios,Nottingham 13-6-90.
Was a nice little show & FREE to get in !
(It was filmed as part of a series of shows by Central TV. I think the series was called "Bedrock" or something corny lol)

Thanks Innocence for info come to think of it, it did look like it was filmed in Tele studio with all the cameras on booms and the camera flying on a cable over center stage, a truly Bitchin! show
only wish I could have been there.

Seems I can't get the tape out of the VCR as I tend to watch it often.

Yeah, i went to the show. It wasn't bad considering it didnt have the usual atmosphere of a "regular" gig.
Wasnt a very big room;the filming makes the place look bigger than it was. Seem to remember Biff saying "you're wide" (place didnt go back far,but was wide lol).
Whilst changing tapes the band played around a bit. They did a version of "Whole lotta Rosie" i think !!
It was cool.

FUNNY THAT YOU SHOULD BE TALKING ABOUT THIS,CAUSE I WENT TO A RECORD FAIR THE OTHER DAY. I FOUND A BLOKE WHO I TWO SAXON VIDS FOR SALE.I HAD ALREADY SPENT MOST MY CASH SO COULD ONLY AFFORD ONE. SO IBROUGHT ONE CALLED SAXON LIVEWHICH JUDGEING BY THE TRACK LISTING WAS FROM THE POWER AND GLORY TOUR. BUT WHEN I GOT HOME I HAD THE WRONG TAPE FOR THE BOX. BUT LUCKLY FOR ME IT WAS SAXON LIVE AT BARCOLONA(PISSED AND CANT SPELL)ON THEINNOCENCE TOUR AT THE NEXT RECORD FAIR AND FIND THE CHAP AND EXPLAIN TO WHAT HAPPENED AND SEE IF CAN BUY THE OTHER VID IN THE OTHER BOX IF GET MY MEANING GOD I RAMBLE WHEN DRUNK SORRY.

Just a quick point Rick.
It wasn't filmed on the Destiny tour. It was filmed on the 10th Aniversary Tour which was really to support the Rock n Roll Gypsies Live album.
It was actually the first time I saw Saxon on that tour and even got my RnRG album signed.

Thanks for the clarification there Lagoon, I guess the reason the assumption was the cover of Chirstopher Cross song Ride like the Wind.

You are right there it is on Destiny. Comes in a nice 7" Picture Disc single as well.

Theres nowt wrong with Destiny. Personally I prefer it to Innocence, Rock the Nations and Forever Free.
It might be a bit over polished but it has some cracking songs on it like Red Alert, Jericho Siren, SOS, Where the lightning Strikes etc.

I agree with Lagoon, Destiny is by no means the worst Saxon album. There are some great songs on Destiny.

SO WHAT DO THINK THE WORST IS. I MEAN THE SINGLES ARE SHIT . THE ALBUM TRACKS ARE SORT OF OK ,LIKE YOU SAY OVER PRODUCED. MIND YOU GOT TO ADMIT I NOT HERD THE ALBUM SINCE I CANT REMEMBER WHEN. I MUST LISTEN TO IT AGAIN SEE IF I HAVE MELLOWED TO IT . MAYBE I WILL HAVE TO EAT MY WORDS. I SHALL REPORT BACK. IF YOU ARE BOTHERED.

Forever Free is the worst in my opinion. Closely followed by Crusader (apart from the title track of course!).

WOW I AM SURPRISED AT THAT I THOUGHT EVERYONE LIKED CRUSADER.A LITTLE BIT,RUN FOR YOUR LIVES AND ROCK CITY TOP TRACKS.AS FOREVER FREE I WOULDNT I NO IDEA,BY THE TIME THAT CAME OUT I THINK I HAD GONE CRUSTY(NMA, LEVELLERS,BLAGGERS ITA). AS FAR AS ROCK AND METAL GOES IT WAS DOG DAMOUR AND THE SORT.IS FOREVER FREE THE ONE WITH GREAT WHITE COW ON IT CAUSE I HEARD THAT AND DIDNT LIKE IT MUCH. BY THE WAY JUST ODERED MY TICKET £17FUCKING 50 PENCE.
