Installed my EMG 60-7! (clip inside)

Just a quick clip of some toss so you can hear what they sound like! When buying this, there were more or less NO clips to go on, it's like fuckin gold dust. So here's my contribution to helping people decide to get one or not!

EMG 60-7

There's some clean first, then some lead.

I totally wasn't expecting it to have such single-coil qualities, but I fucking LOVE it! It's got the tone of a single coil but the oomph and grunt of a humbucker, and is the absolute perfect neck pickup to accompany the 81-7 in the bridge!

Right, time to re-record all my solos I reckon ...

Too thin for my tastes (I prefer the 81 in the neck), but still sounds cool and good playing!

Yeah man that's what I like about it I think. It's thinness makes it more single-coil-like!

sounds awesome! i think i should trade something for a 60 (regular sized, that is- i dont own a 7). think i'd like it a lot better than the 85 i have in the neck now (which i've always much preferred as a bridge pickup anyhow). i love the singlecoil-ness as well

Yeah dude the 85 is nice in the neck for sure, but it doesn't have that "spank" to it, and is a bit on the warm side to be a great neck pickup. 60 is the way to go!
