Hi guys, I'm looking for some gear advices for my mixing studio at home.
I already have a place where I track bands, but the control room is far from ideal in terms of acoustic. Expensive treatment is not an option because is a rent place.
So the idea is get all the tracks there and then mix in my home using a well treated room.
In the tracking place I use Pro Tools 10, a MacPro 2.8 ghz 12GB, a Digi 003 console and Focusrite Octopre Platinum preamps.
At home, the idea is mix the recorded tracks and maybe record some DI's and vocals, but nothing more. So I don't need too much preamps, only a few with good quality.
I like the DAW controllers and mixers feel, so I'm thinking about use the Digi 003 at home and replace it with a 003 rack at the tracking place, that should be the fastest move.
What do you guys suggest?
