Interpol is most certainly NOT post-grunge.

But I do love their music and their excellent guitar harmonies. One of my all-time favorite bands.

I was disappointed in Antics, but Turn on the Bright Lights was excellent.

well fine maybe not the best but up there.

If you think about it there one of the last few real rock bands out there. so many bands sound like fags whning into a microphone.

Excellent observation. They are one of the few bands with true emotion.

They feel a great deal like Joy Division too, especially on the debut. Which is no bad thing.

The basslines on Antics remind me of Hooky, and no bassist has ever made me feel the way he can.

Even after the great purge that just put a dent in my collection, they have survived because they have proved time and time again that they are timeless and musically valuable. Thank you, Interpol!
