Invalid project file

So I've worked ALL DAY with a song and now I can't open the project file. It just says "invalid project file project43523431.cpr". I'm about to do something really retarded if I can't sort this out.. Does anybody know what to do about this? I'm using Cubase, but I guess you've already figured that one out.

if it's corrupted somehow go to your latest backup session.

Well, sometimes in Cubase when it does that don't go in the "recent project" thing, go in the folder manually and usually you have "NameOfSong" and then 01 or -1 I don't remember now. So it would be NameOfSong01. And if NameOfSong01 is corrupted maybe there is a 02? Maybe you should go back to the "original".
