any one going to this gig? me and two friends (one metalhead lad and one rock chick) are planing to go see them and if any one more from here are going then we might drink some beer before the show!

I had wanted to go to that gig but will be back home by then. I'm going to the Newcastle & Sheffield gigs was was wondering myself who if any were going to those ones? would be cool to meet up for a few pints

To tell you the truth, I'm not really looking forward to this Maiden concert. I really only liked Maiden with Di'Anno and the only 2 Maiden albums I've got are the first two, after Bruce joined I turned my back on them.

Hold on a minute - 747 playing right now on Planetrock radio - wooohooooo!!!!!!

Right where was I, oh yeah I've not bought the new album but have heard about 5 tracks from it and I find it pretty damn boring, very lacklustre and Bruce's vocals sound shot to hell. The Sensational Alex Harvey Band are playing the same night and seriously I tink I'd ratehr check them out instead, but I'll just go and see Maiden cos I canny let my friend down!!!!

And as long as they play Wrathchild, Running Free and Phantom, well I'll practically cream my pants:lol:

sorry to dissapoint yer princess but they would only play them tracks if they were held at gunpoint ....... it will be 6 songs off the new album plus any five from these .....fear of the dark ,hallowed be they name, the trooper, iron maiden, the number of the beast, 2 minites to midnight,
sorry i used to be a maiden fan but cant be arsed with them anymore ... turned my back on them when they turned there back on there english fans back on the brave new world tour ( or as we called it up here in rainy yorkshire ) the brave new earls court tour.... anyways dont get me started on maiden.............. went to see y & t on tuesday and they were on top form.....then breed77 on saturday..... and disturbed tomorrow night......

I heard they played Phantom and Wrathchild last year in Ireland, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will hear my 3 favs.

I've got Y & T this Friday, I can hardly contain my excitement at the thought of seeing then - this will be my first time seeing them and I've been a huge fan for years but never seen them before. I've seen the setlist and its totally AWESOME, so its gonny be a brilliant night. What was the support band GPS like - worth checking out or better to stay at the bar.

The following week I've got tickets to see Paul Rodgers so am really looking forward to that one as well and then a few days after that I'm seeing The Answer and Roadstar again, then Wolfmother and Hells Bells in Nov, with Maiden in December.

BLS, Budgie and Saxon in February, got 2nd row ticket for Journey at Clyde Auditorium in March and Deep Purple in May - mindblowing stuff!!!

hey princess
the y & T set was awesome....... gps well worth a listen very accomplished
caught most of there set and even though i didnt know the songs it was good to hear
and boy did they use the support band to set the sound for y & T
get there early princess and you will have one hell of a time
id go see them again but 3 gigs in 5 days has wiped out the old metal piggy bank
