"God damn we have crowd here tonight!"
I don't know why but live Joey has no register, no pitch, no control in his voice, not what it takes to be a metal singer...he just lets that high moan and wail come out of his mouth. Am I evil if I say that he is the Ozzy Osbourne of thrash metal...?
In studio...totally different Joey...would be nice to know how many takes it took to record vocals to the albums he has done with Anthrax.
When it comes to metal singers...now when Ronnie is gone, of all metal frontmen Bruce is probably the best there is left...through all these years he has kept his standard of performance and vocal delivery on very high level!

Danny did ( i think) use the nickname "One Take Joe" in his infamous Metal Sludge twenty questions, he seemed to nail it quickly in the studio. Quite an achievement given the amount of words that he was expected to sing.
Can't believe the Maiden hype on here, like Matallica I've never understood their appeal and there is something very Spinal Tapish about them live, seen them a few times and its a struggle not to laugh out loud.
For my money Joey's chops have lasted better then Bruce's, but none of them can match Glenn Hughes. I've not heard his earlier work, but Music for the Devine is superb.
